Crunchy macadamia teriyaki salmon

Ingredients:

  • 2 salmon fillets (approx. 150 g each)
  • 2 tbsp macadamia nuts, chopped
  • 3 tbsp teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 spring onion, cut into thin rings
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

    Preparation:
  1. Stir together the teriyaki sauce, honey, sesame oil, lemon juice and soy sauce in a small bowl.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the salmon fillets, skin side down. Sear the salmon for about 3 minutes.
  3. Pour the teriyaki mixture over the salmon and fry for another 2 minutes until the salmon is cooked through.
  4. Meanwhile, lightly toast the chopped macadamia nuts in a dry pan.
  5. Place the salmon fillets on plates and sprinkle with the toasted macadamia nuts and spring onions. Serve the salmon with rice or steamed vegetables.

  • For crispier skin, you can grill the salmon in the oven at high heat.
